We could all learn a thing or two from the Great Blue Heron. Members of the heron clan set up residence in the Leonnex Marsh just a stones throw from our cottage. We’re on the flyway between nursery and fishing grounds and are regularly treated to parents working tirelessly to feed their growing brood with flights starting at first light. Herons are social birds raising their young in rookeries. The Leonnex Marsh is host to a small rookery with three active nests.
