About

Barb Callander is a wildlife photographer living in the Kawarthas. Growing up in northern Manitoba she has a keen interest in the unique challenges faced by wildlife living in extreme climates especially the polar regions. Barb’s goal with her photography is to raise awareness for species at risk. Her work has been displayed in the City of Kawartha Lakes City Hall, Victoria County and Rolling Hills Studio tours and published in the Canadian Geographic Geography Quiz and Canadian Wildlife Federation on-line posts. Barb runs an annual fundraising campaign for the World Wild Life Fund (WWF) Canada and all proceeds from the sale of her work are donated to WWF. She hopes that her images will invoke action to reduce the human contributions to climate change leaving wildlife to thrive in their natural environment.
